Visual overview for the first episode of the Devilman Crybaby anime. The images are in the public domain so everyone is welcome to have them, enjoy!
Visual overview for:
Hi everyone! With the transfer to Fandom I’m sure everyone is quite keen to embrace the promising developments for the Devilman wiki.
I would like to adopt the wiki and become bureaucrat to best capitalise on everything available for the site. Everyone can make improvements in all directions; I myself would like to detail the original 39 Devilman episodes I hope the plot details and in particular the image galleries for episodes I add can make for the most detailed articles pages. This is as well as a multitude of other areas in this decades spanning multiple incarnation series!
The admin tools are sorely required to help with the article comments, Discussions could do with some categories and definitely the mobile main page is prime for det…
Wiki is broke
ALL character Infoboxes seem to be dead
so maybe 600-700 pages worth of content now live without a image, or anything in those regards.
All is woe.
for the secodn time now.
Wiki is broke
I like Devilman series and I enjoyed exploring this wikia for a while, but it seems like some of the character articles are too... scattered and hollow.
For example, as in the article Akira Fudo (Disambiguation), we can see :
" Akira Fudo (Manga), Akira Fudo (Amon), Akira Fudo (OVA), Akira Fudo (Amon OVA), Akira Fudo (Devilman vs Getter Robo), Akira Fudo (Devilman vs Hades), Akira Fudo (Sirene-Chan), Akira Fudo (CB Chara), Akira Fudo (Dynamic Heroes), Akira Fudo (Gekiman), Akira Fudo (009 vs Devilman) ..."
In case like the characters in manga or anime which have their own complete full story apart from the original manga(ex: TVA, Grimoire, Crybaby), it's fine, since they concludes their own stories apart from the original manga and we d…
Note: this is a fanmade hypothetical game made purely from wishful thinking and does not depict any actual video games in the making.
Devilman: The Fighters is a 2.5D fighting game made exclusively for the Xbox One. It is the first Devilman game to be featured for current generation consoles.
The game follows a 2.5D fighting game format and uses similar mechanics found in Killer Instinct and Injustice in that each fighter is given two health bars. There is a total of 30 playable characters to choose from, with some of them being from other Go Nagai works such as Susa Shingo from "Susa the King".
There are three "story" modes to choose from: "Arcade Mode", "Apocalypse Mode", and "Mission Mode". Arcade Mode is your typical standard arcade styl…

So reason to be happy, Devilman G is finally getting translated. Its being done by a group called mangalism, who i havent heard of before but they seem to be fans of the series so its all good. Pretty sure they got a few notes from the wiki aswell ;).
Currently i cant find it online, but if you type in the groups name online you can easily find their site and downlad it from there.
The following is a list of all the information originally lost from Wikipedia dealing with the powers of various demon tribe demons and devil beasts from the orignal Devilman TV anime and the anime adaption of The Devil Lady.
Devilman possesses a variety of powers that are mostly consistent with every appearance.
- Devil Cutter: Slicing discs from the belt buckle.
*Devil Wing: Wings from the back that allow flight.
*Devil Beam: Summons lightning from the sky and turns into green beams from the palms. Can also be used as a large fire ball.
*Devil Arrow: Orange energy bolts from the antennae. Can also be used as a sonic attack.
*Devil Eye: Allows Devilman to see in pitch black darkness and find an enemy's weakest point.
His other powers i…
Ahoy-hoy, folks. Dimensional-Expander here.
Regarding "Devilman Grimoire", I was wondering if anyone would like to translate pages 9 and 26 of chapter 9 for me, if that's cool with you guys.
I notice that, even within the same article, there is often a mix of past and present tense. I don't have a problem with using either (though the "narrative present" is more common), but I think it would make for better reading if it was consistent across the board.
This is an expansion of something I posted elsewhere on here. Just an attempt to propose a cohesive, hypothetical timeline that incorporates what we know from Devilman, Devilman Lady, Akuma Kishi and AMON as well as, potentially, Demon Lord Dante. However, to make the God of Dante and Devilman Lady consistent, Medusa must have been wrong in her assertion that God was just an alien. Things based purely on Dante is in italic.
- God creates the universe.
- God creates the titans.
- Titans rebel. God throws them in Hell.
- God creates the demons.
- God attack them in his Gods forms to implant part of himself in them.
- Some of them mutate on contact with the Gods, a battle breaks out and God throws them in a mountain.
- Demon Lord Dante: Surviving supports of the dem…
Question to any of the viewers out there, do you think it would be worthwhile to add the japanese katakana and kanji names to the character infoboxes? I was thinking about it for a while and it does look very good on the Mazinger Wiki infoboxes.
Sup peoples, some of you may have noticed i have been going through the origonal manga and adding all the pages not yet added to the wiki, quite a few major pages to actually like the gang and i hevent even touched Rainuma yet. I will however be taking a break as im currently reading the origonal Getter Robo.
Anyways in terms on new manga i have read on a few sources that we may be getting a new Devilman Grimoire manga, the only place thats said this in English however is Random Raws (Which i where i download much of my Go Nagai stuff from). If you wanna read it just look it up it isnt hard to find. So how do you guys feel about a second part of Devilman Grimoire. Do you love it? Hate it? Prefer something new?
Just to be clear this is only r…
Posting this here partially as a back-up. I'm not sure how much (if any?) this strains fair-use so I might have to move it later.

There is a Darkness there --
A closed world where darkness reigns.
(T/N: The "darkness" (暗黒) used here is a different word than the "Darkness" (闇) used in the preceding and following sentences. 暗黒 is a literal darkness; as in the lack of light. 闇 is a more metaphysical or metaphorical darkness.)
In the world of Darkness there are also life-forms,
who find pray with their own luminescence,
who sense enemies by heat and sound,
who read thoughts with telepathy.
-- These life-forms waged a terrible war of the survival of the fittest.
The violent battle evolved them!
For it heightened their…
As I've said elsewhere I recently got vol. 1 and 2 of MANDALA which means part 1 and 2 of Akuma Kishi. I haven't started trying to decipher much the dialogue, but the plot appears to be as described on that article. I've taken a few pictures (mostly focusing on the characters). I'll try to take some better pictures later when I have better lighting options and someone to help me hold the pages flat.
Continuity-wise it is clearly intended to tie in to the original Devilman (regardless of if it should be considered in the same canon as Amon or not), but their is one weird thing: What I assume to be God has a human-looking form here (although it may just be a representative of his) and all other Angelic creatures appear as normal humans as we…
Finally I was able to track down a copy of book five of the Bilingual series and decided to go through it and the one I own already (three) and compare with the online version of the original edition.
The bilingual versions are a printing of the Deluxe edition, but with the colour pages in black and white. They are divided into chapters based on story arc rather than length, whereas the original edition didn't have chapters.
Volume 3 has a new front cover featuring Jeanne d'Arc with Devilman's profile in the background and an image of Agwel on the back. The volume starts with the Shin Devilman stories. For some reason the Jeanne story have been moved in front of the Hitler story, which causes the continuity confusion you'd expect. If anythin…
Breakthrough! There are essentially only 3 variants of the Devilman manga:
Probably identical to how it was published in magazines. The scanlations online are based on this version (specifically the 1972 one), except the "Great War of the Gods" and "Sirene" colour chapters included in some uploads, like the Mangafox one.
The 1993 version is an almost identical reprint of the 1972 version. The easiest noticeable difference is Kodansha's logo in the top-left corner of the front being written with kanji instead of the latin alphabet.
- 1972, 1978, 1983, 1993, 2000 (3 volumes), 2004
Another blog post. I thought I'd just give out everything I know about the different Japanese releases of the main manga, but because a lot of this consist of "I don't know" and "I guess" I didn't want to create an article about it yet.
(The version on Mangafox is either the 1972, 1978 or 1993 one, except the covers and short chapters at the start of volume 1 and 2 which are from the 1987 editions.)
The ISBN of every version up to the 2008 one, except 1978, are on Wikipedia.
1972: 5 volumes. Most likely only black and white. Volume 1 cover art:
1978: 5 volumes. I know nothing else about this version. But it is unlikely to be any different from the original, apart from maybe the covers.
1983: 3 volumes. These appear to have been released wi…
Found these online a while ago. Don't remember where.
I found this translation of an interview between Nagai and Neon Genesis Evangelion director Hideaki Anno on the EvaGeeks forum and figured I might share it here. Highlights include Nagai talking about his inspiration for Maō Dante, the two of them talking about the use of violence in their works and Anno saying things like "What would be ideal is that kids who watch it start to vomit".

Interview between Go Nagai and Hideaki Anno. This is a double translation, from japanese to french, then from french to english. A lot of translation might be lo…
So I have been trying to sketch out a rough outline of the continuity of Nagai's Devilman manga in relation to the spin-offs that take place within it's storyline. And I thought I might share what I've produced so far to get some feedback or so others can may find some use of if I discontinue it. Or just to have it here in case my computer crash.
The Devilman numbering follow the 5 volume releases without Shin Devilman integrated. The Neo-Devilman numbering follow the 3 volume release.
Apart from Devilman in the Dark/Neo-Devilman 2.3 no content from Neo-Devilman that has not been scanlated is on this list. I also haven't evaluated if Devilman vs Getter Robo and Mazinger Angels fit in anywhere here. (My guess is not.)

Various Raws for the manga Dynamic Heroes a crossover manga featureing animeted incarnations of all maijor Dynamic Productions series. It is currently untranslated.
The raws for the final chapter of Takato Rui's Devilman Grimoire have just come online and they are great, The last chapter was somewhat boring with little action (but it was nice to see dorango again) it was all build up for the next chapter, however it pays off brilliantly with a battle between a VERY pissed off Godzilla size Amon and Zennon. And it ends really dam nicely, Zennon/Utsugi is revealed not to be a real bad guy and was fighting in what he belived, kinda like how Satan was fighting for what he belived in Devilman, on top of that everyone lives and gets a nice send off, plus Tsubasa is shown in a sirene/Kaimu mix and is good again. A nice callback to the tv series was shown with a breif cameo from Miho which was nice.
Acording to this source , Devilman G may come to an end in Febuary of next year. This gives us only 3 more chapters includeing this months one which should be released around the 19th.
It would make sense i suppose considering how referance full Grimoire is, it probably going to end at five volumes to referance the Kodashana publication of five volumes. That said im not sure how trust worthy the source is, it links to a coment on a itlian twitter acount the specialises in manga, but even when i searched online with the japnese charecters i found no mention, so it may be just a hoax.
If it is the end, what are your thoughts and questions and im also wandering if its gonna tie up all the loose endings like, what happend to Ashura/Tsubasa Rainu…
Okay the newest chapter got released and Dorango's back yea, its a somewhat slow chapter as all it is is mainly explanation with some brief action. that said still some interesting things, Zennon and his girl merge together and are the new main villain. i think, oh and i think that Zennon was also king Solomon, (read the first chapter). other than the different forms Zennon goes into no new faces are introduced, luckily no actual deaths either which is a shocking change. Currently i think this chapter was just to explain a few plot points and to set things up for the next (and possibly final, but hopefully not) story arc. Best thing though was the cover, for some reason Chayako's dressed like Fred from Scooby Doo, but it gives a few nice s…

okay so i just read the latest Grimoire chapter and all i can say is that its full of many WTF moments of both good and bad, for a start about a dozen interesting and likeable charecters are all killed off and there isnt enough time for their death to give much impact (excludeing the last one) and some of them feel really rushed such as the girl with the face on her chest comes back only to be killed by Meriken jo and Miki's freinds who turn into devilmen, also their devilman forms simply confuse me, Chayako looks like medusa, Jo must be razuba and the blonde chick is just insane looking. Also Coco dante's assistant turns into a massive armoured centaur which looks kind of silly but cool at the same time, one very good devilman reveal thoug…
Hello, i have been think weather or not the manga Amon: The Darkside of the Devilman was from the same continuity as Devilman and Devilman Lady, i have read several conflicting articles saying that it was and others saying it was not, haveing read all three i could quite easily belive that they were the same continuity however different authors mean its hard to tell, i was wandering what over people thourght.
Some raws from the recently released chapter 18 of Devilman G (Thanks to Random Raws) here are a few important ones. Its done a few years later kind of thing by setting off the apocalypse so all the charecters look older, plus a cameo from Kilski and Mugaruu, and Psycho Jenny gets killed (I Think), im also guessing that Aiyo (The guy with glasses) will fuse with Kaimu.
A sample of raws for chapter 17 of Devilman Grimoire.
i am currently downloading the Devilman Grimoire raws and below are a sheet of many of the charecters in the story however i havent gotten around to cropping some of the more maijor ones.. once i have finished downloading the raw pages i shall make pages for the charecters aswell as upload all the raws.
