The Gods are the main antagonists of the 'Demon Lord Dante' manga. They're a race of energy-based aliens that came to Earth under form of a single entity simply known as God and attempted to eradicate the intelligent life forms of the time, accidentally creating the Demon race in the process.

Gods appear in many forms: each humanoid with animal-like features including a horse, dog, bird etc. In their dormant state, they look perfectly human.

- Their designs (specifically the ones pictured above) bear a strong resemblance to the Mythos Cyborgs from Shotaro Ishinomori's 'Cyborg 009' series. This may have been an intentional homage, given that Go Nagai worked as an assistant for Ishinomori.
