Hi and welcome to the Devilman Wiki, it is a wiki database for all things Devilman as well as its spin-off anime and films, such as the lesser known manga like Devilman Lady, Demon Lord Dante, and Amon: The Darkside of Devilman.
Devilman was originally a remake of Demon Lord Dante, written by Go Nagai in 1972. when approached by Toei to do an altered version of Dante a TV series was made, which while having a few similarities to the manga was set within its on universe. The manga had been going barely a month in the magazine Kodansha before the TV series first aired.
