Satan, the fallen Angel and leader of the demon race, better recognized as Ryo Asuka, with his birthname being James Kisaragi this time around, is one of the Slum King's mutilated pets, the Dog People, alongside his lover Miki Makimura. The two would spend their lives in constant abuse and humiliation, and would be subject to frequent abuse and victim to the King's deviant desires. This punishment would reveal itself to be self inflicted however, with Satan being the architect behind the entire world, New Kanto specifically being designed as a subconcious punishment for his actions in another world. Ultimately, Satan would reawaken, and attempted to destroy the world he created, only to be stopped once more by Akira Fudo. Ryo Asuka was a consistent presence throughout the 'Violence Jack' manga, before his reawakening as Satan.
